Hard to believe it’s been just over a month since the gig of a lifetime. Still buzzing. It’s almost like a delayed effect where I keep thinking “Fuck, that actually happened!” and more memories keep coming back. The song that really got me at the time for some reason was Live Forever and the line “we see things they’ll never see”, which summed it all up perfectly. I’ve listened to that song thousands of times over the last 30+ years but that night was like hearing it for the first time. These photos were taken whilst singing along with 90,000 other likeminded people. A beautiful night indeed.
A couple of weeks later I was genuinely mistaken for Noel Gallagher by two lads whilst I was sat having a drink by the Thames over in Battersea. Walking towards me one said “That’s Noel!” to which the other replied “From Oasis?!”, face lighting up. “Yeah!” They continued walking past without asking for a selfie. Shame really, ‘cause that would’ve been hilarious.
True story. And I’ll be dining out on that one for a loooong time yet…
